COPENHAGHEN TKS (PART 1)

The third city in Northern Europe that I set my footprint on is Copenhagen, the capital city of Denmark. This is also known as the “city of towers” (City of Spires) for buildings, houses here have a common feature. When watching TV or looking at a picture of a city you did not know in Europe, just look at the structure of a few towers and you can realize immediately.

The building with blue tower is for the stock market, built in the 17th century under King Christian IV. And the next building is Christiansborg palace, the Danish Parliament and the Court is located here.

Talk a little bit out of the topic, recently I have watched several episodes of a Denmark series called “Borgen”, it’s a political film talking about the competitiveness of the parties in government and the lives of these characters. Whatever you say about politics, maybe it is the most boring topic but if there is a chance, go seeing this movie, just a few episodes. Not a little dry, beautiful scene, nice starrings, beautiful costumes. Maybe you’re supposed that I am PR for the film and this city? No. The past places I’ve across recall many interesting things and this is one to look back.

Back to the main topic….

There is a name that has been popularly mentioned and this city is HC Andersen (Hans Christian Andersen), father of the famous fairytales The Little Mermaid, the Ugly Duckling … the Little Mermaid is also the symbol of this place, to be printed / painted on all kinds of souvenirs. And here the main road was also named after HC Andersen.

The view in front of Danhostel (i sayed here for 3 nights), on HC Andersen street. A friend told me that she really enjoyed the hanging street lamps, I also find it strange that way.
