A little bit unfortunate but I also discovered that I could go to Taiwan from the Philippines with very cheap price, and from Taiwan to Japan was also cheap! So I will have chances to return to Boracay, and then go through Taiwan and then straight to Japan.
Me and my friend bought tickers from Air Asia on May 05/2012, a total of 4 flights Kuala Lumpur – Clark – Kalibo – Clark – Kuala Lumpur with a cheap price, just 1,950,000 VND for the four stages, applicable for flights from 04/27/2013 to 05/02/2013. We also intend to wait for Air Asia is additional promotion for full set of HCM – KUL – HCM, scheduled on, we also estimated to have 1 day to discover Clark.
But unfortunately, we waited for a long time and did not find any Air Asia Promotion for the flight HCM – KUL, i accepted to drop ticket for Kul – Clark – Kul and jumped to purchase two-way tickets flight from HCM to Manila for just 126 USD. We expected to go by bus from Manila to Clark to take flight to Kalibo. But we continued to be unlucky again when Air Asia sent mail to notify delay flight from Clark to Kul and re-schedule flight Clark – Kalibo – Clark. With the new flight schedule of Air Asia, then surely we will not catch flight from Manila to come back to Saigon.
When I called for Air Asia Vietnam, the operator told me that “we were not responsible for the ticket, you should call Air Asia Thailand”. OMG! So we took turns to email / chat / complain with Air Asia Thailand in order to get refund for our ticket (Because this is the fault of the airline). AirAsia after we complain also made a call and a confirmation email that they will refund money back to us within 30 days (but we still have not seen this money into our account, despite more than 40 days). With this bad luck, I was quite apprehensive when purchasing tickets for the rare routes of Air Asia although I wanted to discover Myanmar like a friend’s agenda.

So, all the Air Asia tickets fare of 1,950,000 VND is useless because we can not use these tickets, jumped to the website of Air Express Philipines, there were not any cheap tickets left and I had to search for tickets on Zest Air website. Tickets purchased in March for the April flight should not come cheap: 1,950,000 for two-way tickets from Manila to Kalibo. Thus, the total fare for all 4 flights is 4,700,000 VND for HCM – Manila – Kalibo two-way.
Such complicated but when you are in Boracay, you will see the hardships on the way to come here are nothing at all!
